Prior to joining DGG, Tim managed retail and institutional investment conferences in the U.S. and South Africa, including Mining Indaba. Tim also has extensive experience in publishing and publishing technology having founded several publications, and as an editor for several media enterprises.
He earned a graduate degree in International Relations, and a Diploma in Business Administration, both from the University of the Witwatersrand. He read for the degrees after completing compulsory military service as a combat artillery officer at the conclusion of the Angolan war.

Alasdair Macleod
Alasdair has been a celebrated stockbroker and Member of the London Stock Exchange for over four decades. His experience encompasses equity and bond markets, fund management, corporate finance and investment strategy.
Alasdair commenced his career on the London Stock Exchange as a stockbroker in 1970, becoming senior partner of his firm in 1979. Subsequently, he became an executive director in a mutual fund management company. He returned to stockbroking full time in 1984 during the City’s Big Bang. In 1997 he moved to Guernsey, where he was commissioned as a consultant to a number of offshore companies in the Island’s finance industry. He became an executive director of an offshore bank, Ansbacher (CI) Ltd, with responsibility for fund management activities in both Guernsey and Jersey.
In 2011, Alasdair was pleased to join Goldmoney as Head of Research, since when he has written a weekly column on economics, finance, precious metals, and geopolitics. He is a frequent guest on podcasts, radio, TV, and as a conference speaker.

Mr. Garrett D. Goggin has served as GSA Associate Editor since 2010. He began his financial career on the floor of the NYSE market working for a local brokerage as a clerk where he learned how investment transactions are processed. As Mr. Goggin saw much of the order flow was moving off-floor he joined a derivative arbitrage group in the United Kingdom and Ireland during the advent of electronic trading and the rise of the Eurex. Mr. Goggin next set up Vox Capital Investment Advisor in order to protect client assets from an overleveraged economy with a focus on alternative asset classes. Garrett acted as equity portfolio manager of the Babson College Fund as well as served as president of the Babson Investment Managers Association during his time as MBA student. Garrett is a CFA Charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst) and a CMT (Certified Market Technician). He serves on the board of the CFA society of South Florida as treasurer. Mr. Goggin holds MS and MBA business degrees in Finance from Babson College.

Andrew Breichmanas joined Stifel in February 2021 as an analyst covering the Metals & Mining sector after previously holding similar roles at BMO Capital Markets and Desjardins Securities. John McCluskey is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Alamos Gold Inc. and has held this position since 2003, when he co-founded the Company with mining hall of famer Chester Millar. Mr. McCluskey is currently a Director of Orford Mining Corporation and a Director at the World Gold Council. Mr. McCluskey is the recipient of the 2023 Viola R. MacMillan Award, given by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada for showing leadership and a willingness to take risks in the acquisition and development of the Island Gold mine in Northern Ontario. In 2018, he received the Murray Pezim Award for Perseverance and Success in Financing Mineral Exploration by the British Columbia Association for Mineral Exploration, in recognition of his role in the acquisition, financing, and encouragement of successive discoveries at Mulatos, as well as his ongoing success as CEO of Alamos. Mr. McCluskey was also named Ontario’s 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year, based on a judging panel’s assessment of financial performance, vision, leadership, innovation, personal integrity and influence, social responsibility, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Mr. Adams was President and Chief Executive Officer of New Gold Inc. from 2018 to 2022, where he led the strategic repositioning of the company and turnaround of its operations. Prior to New Gold, Mr. Adams was President and Chief Executive Officer of Richmont Inc. from 2014 until the company was sold to Alamos Gold in November 2017. Prior to IAMGOLD, Mr. Adams held various senior operations positions at mining operations located in the Americas. Mr. Usmar is an international mining executive with over 25 years of experience working around the globe in operational, financial and executive leadership roles in some of the world’s largest and fastest growing mining companies. Prior to founding Triple Flag, Mr. Usmar served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Barrick Gold Corporation, from 2014 to 2016, where he helped restructure the company. He joined Xstrata in 2002 as an early senior executive member of the management team that grew the company into one of the world’s largest diversified miners at the time of its acquisition by Glencore in 2013. Previous to his role as Founder, President, and CEO of NOVAGOLD, he held the position of Vice President of Exploration for Placer Dome Inc. from 1990 to 1997. In addition to his international exploration perspective, Rick brings years of working experience in and knowledge of Alaska to Contango. Rick has managed projects from grassroots discovery through to advanced feasibility, production and closure. Dan Denbow has spent over 30 years in capital markets with his most recent experience associated with USAA Investment Management Company. As a portfolio manager for USAA, Mr. Denbow was responsible for managing over US$4 billion in three strategies; a domestic dividend and global dividend strategy and the USAA Precious Metals and Minerals Fund. The USAA Precious Metals Fund received numerous awards during his tenure. Garrett Goggin
Mr. Garrett D. Goggin has served as GSA Associate Editor since 2010. He began his financial career on the floor of the NYSE market working for a local brokerage as a clerk where he learned how investment transactions are processed. As Mr. Goggin saw much of the order flow was moving off-floor he joined a derivative arbitrage group in the United Kingdom and Ireland during the advent of electronic trading and the rise of the Eurex. Mr. Goggin next set up Vox Capital Investment Advisor in order to protect client assets from an overleveraged economy with a focus on alternative asset classes. Garrett acted as equity portfolio manager of the Babson College Fund as well as served as president of the Babson Investment Managers Association during his time as MBA student. Garrett is a CFA Charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst) and a CMT (Certified Market Technician). He serves on the board of the CFA society of South Florida as treasurer. Mr. Goggin holds MS and MBA business degrees in Finance from Babson College.

Alasdair has been a celebrated stockbroker and Member of the London Stock Exchange for over four decades. His experience encompasses equity and bond markets, fund management, corporate finance and investment strategy.
Alasdair commenced his career on the London Stock Exchange as a stockbroker in 1970, becoming senior partner of his firm in 1979. Subsequently, he became an executive director in a mutual fund management company. He returned to stockbroking full time in 1984 during the City’s Big Bang. In 1997 he moved to Guernsey, where he was commissioned as a consultant to a number of offshore companies in the Island’s finance industry. He became an executive director of an offshore bank, Ansbacher (CI) Ltd, with responsibility for fund management activities in both Guernsey and Jersey.

Toby Brandon is the COO at ICE Benchmark Administration. He was previously Senior Director, Soft Commodities at ICE Futures Europe where he is responsible for the smooth operation and contract rules of the Robusta Coffee Future contract.
After graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in Economics, Toby started in banking before starting in agricultural commodities as a sugar and grains buyer in 2004.
Following a long spell in cocoa as a purchasing manager and then a trader, he joined ICE in 2015 where he is responsible for London Cocoa, Robusta Coffee, White Sugar and the UK Feed Wheat futures contracts.

Most recently, Mr. Godin was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Pretium Resources Inc. and was responsible for the operations of the Brucejack Mine. Prior to that, Mr. Godin was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Stornoway Diamond Corporation, and from 2010 to 2018 he was the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President. During this time, he was responsible for the construction and operations of the Renard Diamond Mine in Quebec. Prior to that, he served as the Vice President, Project Development for G Mining Services and held executive or senior operations positions for Canadian Royalties, Iamgold and Cambior in the Americas. Mr. Godin holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining from Laval University in Quebec, Canada and is a Chartered Director since 2010.

Peter Marrone
Peter Marrone is Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, and was Executive Chairman of Yamana, which he founded in 2003. He has more than 35 years of mining, business and capital markets experience. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Marrone has founded and taken public several companies in various sectors and advised companies on going public and establishing the required protocols for governance in his role as an investment banker and lawyer before that. He has been on the boards of a number of public companies and has advised companies with a strong international presence.
Mr. Marrone currently sits on the board of directors of Aris Gold Corporation. Prior to Allied, Mr. Marrone was the head of investment banking at a major Canadian investment bank and before that practiced law in Toronto with a strong focus on corporate law, securities law and international transactions.

Joao Kleber Cardoso
Kleber is an Economist from Unicamp and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, specializing in Finance, Strategy and International Businesses. He joined Aura in March 2019. Prior to joining Aura, he was CFO of Santista, a large jeans manufacturer with operations in Brazil and Argentina. Previously, he worked at Mover Participações, one of the largest conglomerates in Brazil, and was involved in M&A projects. Kleber has also worked in the management consulting sector for A.T. Kearney and Accenture, in a variety of industries and projects.

Charlie graduated from the University of Oxford as a chemist, joining Cazenove in the early 1990s. After brief stints working in pharmaceuticals and oils he settled down as Cazenove’s mining analyst, spending three years in Johannesburg, among other places. He moved to T Hoare Canaccord in 1999 as a specialist mining salesman and also worked for two years as Cluff Mining’s mineral economist, responsible for global target asset valuations. In 2003 he moved to New York, where he developed and marketed a ‘black box’ model for valuing large-cap equities, before returning to join Edison in 2007. He has extensive media experience, having written for MoneyWeek, The Business, Shares, Investors Chronicle and The Evening Standard (among others), presented on LBC and been a guest on BBC One and BBC World.

Mr. Balarezo has proven corporate and operating experience in leading multinational companies in the mining, cement, and services industries.
Mr. Balarezo served as Executive VP for the Americas in Gold Fields Ltd, and as CEO of Gold Fields La Cima. Prior to Gold Fields, he worked for the
Hochschild Group for 16 years. His last position was VP of Operations at Hochschild Mining, where he was responsible for five operations in Peru,
Argentina, and Mexico, as well as the mining projects in development. He also held the positions of General Manager of Hochschild Mining in
Mexico and then in Peru, as well as Deputy General Manager and Finance Manager in Cementos Pacasmayo.
